Welcome to GSC Time Machine ("the Service", "the Extension"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you ("User") and GSC Time Machine ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing, accessing, or using this extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

GSC Time Machine is a browser extension designed to help SEO professionals and site owners extend Google Search Console data retention. It allows users to fetch, store, and visualize historical search performance data locally.

3. License Grant & Restrictions

GSC Time Machine is proprietary software (NOT open-source). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for personal or internal business purposes.

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the extension.
  • Redistribute: Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services or included software.
  • Malicious Use: Use the service for any illegal purpose or to harm Google's services.

4. Service Modifications

We are constantly changing and improving our Service. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether.

We reserve the right to modify the terms of this service (including but not limited to switching from a free model to a paid model or introducing premium features) at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to GSC Time Machine (including but not limited to its code, graphics, user interface, and logo) are and will remain the exclusive property of GSC Time Machine.

  • This software is NOT open-source.
  • "Google Search Console" is a trademark of Google LLC. This extension is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

6. Data Ownership & Privacy

  • Your Data: You retain full ownership of all SEO data you fetch and store using our extension. We do not claim any rights to your data.
  • Local Storage: As described in our Privacy Policy, your data is stored locally in your browser. You are responsible for exporting and backing up your data regularly. We are not responsible for data loss caused by browser cache clearing, extension uninstallation, or hardware failure.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".

We specifically disclaim any liability for:

  • API Changes: Functional failures caused by changes to the Google Search Console API or Google Sheets API.
  • Third-Party Interruptions: Downtime or errors caused by Google's servers or your network connection.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GSC Time Machine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
